Tailwater Fly Co. is led by Chase Fairbanks, a guide and casting instructor living in Sedona, Arizona. Originally from Kansas, Chase has been fly fishing for over 14 years, starting by introducing others to the sport and tying flies for bass in high school. Before founding Tailwater Fly Co., he worked in athletic rehabilitation at Kansas State University. In Sedona, he developed the Fly Fishing Fundamentals program at Sedona Rainbow Trout Farm, building a structured, education-first experience for anglers of all levels, the only program like it in Arizona. He continues to work alongside organizations such as Trout Unlimited and the Arizona Game & Fish Department through education and outreach efforts.
